Synopsis

Tirupur is a major force in the knitwear industry. Tirupur is apparel exporters primarily make and export knitted clothing, with woven clothing having a negligible market share in comparison. In Tirupur, which is known for its cluster activity, most of the activities of garment making are carried out in the outside units, such as knitting units, dye & bleaching units and fabric printing and garmenting as well as other ancillary units. Poor road and other transportation infrastructure, labour
shortages during peak season, outdated machinery, pollution, exchange rate fluctuations, cotton yarn price fluctuations, and an over-reliance on cotton are just some of the issues that the Tirupur textile industry faces.
People's commitment to their work and the organisation can be defined as a measure of their motivation, which is something that the HRD department strives to cultivate in its staff. When HRD's work is done well, it will result in teamwork, the demise of the centralised decisionmaking system, a sense of belonging, and a positive working environment.
