Language BarrierSynopsis
From the initial days of my teaching career, I felt there was a difficulty faced by the law students in learning Law, because of the Language Barrier. Students who have completed their school education in their mother tongue were unable to cope up with their English medium education in the Higher studies. Medium of Instruction plays a vital role in their ability to study, learn and understand the subjects. The difficulty faced by the students kindled my thought to learn and analyze the student’s language barrier levels of different category, background and other factors of the students.
In the studying the above issue I have received help and encouragement from my sister Smt. A. Gajalakshmi MSc. M. Phil. M. Ed and my husband Thiru. D. Chandrasekar MA.ML., who is an Advocate of the High Court, Chennai. I express my gratitude to them. I express my gratitude to all those writers, experts and critics whose works have inspired me and have broadened my horizon about the Language Barrier among the Law Students. I express my gratitude to my publisher KD Publications, Pune whose encouragement and enthusiasm enabled me to complete this work.
